D2R : 65 FCR , Fade Mosaic Assassin build Guide

Diablo 2 Resurrected: 65 FCR Fade Mosaic Assassin - Summary Guide

"In Diablo 2, the Mosaic Assassin stands as the strongest build, effortlessly clearing even 8-player difficulty. For pure speed, the 102 FCR Burst of Speed variant might be quicker. However, the 65 FCR Fade Mosaic Assassin offers a much more secure and stable farming experience, with only a negligible reduction in overall clear speed."

1. Stats

  • Strength: Invest just enough points to equip your desired gear. (If using Enigma, its Strength bonus often means you'll need very few direct points here.)
  • Dexterity: Put just enough points to equip your items. You can further invest in Attack Rating if you wish.
  • Vitality: Put all remaining points into Vitality to maximize your Life. This is paramount for a Mosaic Assassin, as you'll be engaging in close combat frequently.
  • Energy: Do not invest any points.

2. Skills

A. Martial Arts - 83+ Points

  • Phoenix Strike: 20 (Max) - Your primary offensive skill.
  • Claws of Thunder : 20 (Max) - Synergy for Phoenix Strike's Lightning damage.
  • Tiger Strike: 20 (Max) - for physical damage, used for life and mana leech
  • Blades of Ice: 20 (Max) - Synergy for Phoenix Strike's Cold damage.
  • Dragon Talon: 1 - You can invest as many points as you like into Dragon Talon, whether that's 3 or 4 kicks
  • Cobra Strike : 1 - life and mana leech

B. Shadow Disciplines - 7+ Points

  • Fade: 1 (Min) or 10-15+ (Additional Investment)
    • Core Skill: While 1 point can suffice with gear bonuses, investing an additional 10-15 points directly into Fade is highly recommended for securing crucial resistance and physical damage reduction in Hell difficulty. For a 65% FCR setup, focusing on a sufficient Fade level is key.
  • Mind Blast: 1 - Stuns and confuses enemies for Chaos Sanctuary

3. Item Tree - Focus on 65% FCR & Fade Efficiency

A. Weapons:

  • Main Hand: Mosaic Runeword (e.g., in Greater Talons, Runic Talons)
  • Off-Hand: Mosaic Runeword (e.g., in Greater Talons, Runic Talons)
    • Greater Talons or Runic Talons are essential to achieve maximum attack speed. The best option is a Talon with +3 Phoenix Strike.

B. Armor:

  • Enigma: Grants the Teleport skill, high Strength, and Magic Find. While it doesn't provide FCR, its utility makes it a virtually mandatory item for mobility.
  • Alternative (Situational): Hustle Runeword - if you don't have Enigma to boost your movement speed.

C. Helm:

  • Unique Diadem (Griffon's Eye) : To achieve increased attack speed, you'll socket the item with a 15% Increased Attack Speed (IAS) jewel.

D. Amulet:

  • Crafted Amulet: Seek a +2 Assassin Skills, +10% FCR amulet with resistances, FCR, or stats. This is another key item for achieving your FCR target.

E. Rings:

  • FCR Ring : Aim for a ring with 10% FCR. Look for additional beneficial stats like resistances, stats, or mana/life leech.
  • Raven Frost : essential for preventing your character from being frozen.

F. Gloves:

  • Rare Gloves : +3 martial arts with 20% Increased Attack Speed
  • Laying of Hands : You can use it as an alternative when a rare glove isn't available.

G. Belt:

  • Arachnid Mesh: Provides 20% FCR and +1 to All Skills. Essential for reaching 65% FCR.
  • Alternatives (if FCR is met elsewhere): Thundergod's Vigor (Lightning absorb), Vampirefang Belt (Life leech).

H. Boots:

  • Shadow Dancer: Grants Dexterity and enhanced kick damage.
  • Gore Rider: Offers Crushing Blow, Deadly Strike, and Open Wounds (useful for bossing).
  • War Traveler: Provides Magic Find and stats.

I. Charms:

  • Assassin Torch, Annihilus: Provide +skills, stats, and all resistances.
  • Martial Arts Grand Charm : Provide + skills
  • Small Charms: Focus on Life/Resistances or Life/Magic Find to fill out any gaps.
  • Sundered Lightning Charm : It's essential for dealing with Lightning Immune monsters.
J. Mercenary:
  • Mercenary Type: Act 2 Blessed Aim (Offensive) mercenary.
  • Weapon: Ethereal Mancatcher crafted into Infinity runeword.
  • Helm: Ethereal helm crafted into Cure runeword.
  • Armor: Ethereal armor crafted into Fortitude runeword.

Achieving 65% FCR (Example Combinations):

  • Griffon's Eye (25) + Arachnid Mesh (20) + Amulet(10) + Ring(10) = 65% FCR.
  • Gloves(20) + Helm socket jewel(15) = 35% IAS(With Talon-class weapons, 8-frame attack speed is achievable by getting 30% Increased Attack Speed (IAS) or more from your gear.)
